Mechanical Engineer

6 years experience in the design, planning, test, installation and operation of electromechanical systems in the marine environment.  Project engineering experience and marine structural design experience.  Experience with AutoCAD.

Senior Systems Engineer

10 years experience in the installation, operation, test and maintenance of analog and digital instrumentation systems, ground and satellite data communication systems and microcomputer-based data acquisition systems.

Senior Oceanographer

MS in Physical Oceanography, or Chemical/Biological/Geographical Oceanography

Minimum 6 years experience that equips the applicant with a broad expert knowledge in physical oceanography and/or ocean wave phenomena.  Understands, interprets, and describes physical ocean date gathered by observing stations, satellites, and high frequency radar.  Understands the relationship of numerical ocean products to observational data. Experience with oceanographic data management including quality assurance and quality control.  Physical oceanography (i.e., ocean circulation, currents, temperature, salinity, air-sea interaction) to include, but not restricted to ocean waves, tsunamis, and tides.  Shipboard instrumentation and "unmanned vehicles" used to gather data.

Quality Assurance Specialist

3 years experience in applying the concepts and methodology of Quality Assurance (i.e. ISO and CMMI). Knowledge of quality audit performance and implementation of Process Inspection Plans developed in accordance with work requirements.

GIS Analyst

Minimum 4 years experience.

Create maps and graphs, using GIS software and related equipment.

Meet with users to define data needs, project requirements, required outputs, or to develop applications.
Conduct Research to locate and obtain existing databases.
Gather, analyze, and integrate spatial data from staff and determine how best the information can be displayed using GIS.
Compile geographic data from a variety of sources including censuses, field observation, satellite imagery, aerial photographs, and existing maps.
Analyze spatial data for geographic statistics to incorporate into documents and reports.
Design and update database, applying additional knowledge of spatial feature representations.
Enter new map data through use of a digitizer or by direct input of coordinate information using the principles of cartography including coordinate systems, longitude, latitude, elevation, topography, and map scales.
Analyze geographic relationships among varying types of data.
Prepare metadata and other documentation.

Programmer Analyst

Degree/Education:

Specialized Experience:
8 Years relevant experience. Broad experience in requirements analysis and computer systems design, development and implementation, including real-time data acquisition and processing, data communications and scientific/business applications. Must be experienced in database systems and familiar with open systems hardware and software. Experience using standard programming methods and secure coding techniques. Specific experience in C++, Java and LAMP (Linux, Apache MySQL and PHP) and Oracle.
